Hi there!
I’m an FWO-funded Ph.D. researcher at KU Leuven, where I study developmental plasticity using Daphnia magna. My work explores how gene regulatory networks drive plastic responses across generations, using tools from genomics and epigenetics to tackle questions in evolutionary and developmental biology.
I’m originally from Puerto Rico, where early experiences in diverse ecosystems sparked my interest in how organisms respond to their environment. My research journey has since taken me through labs in Belgium, Germany, Finland, Sweden, and the United States. What I most enjoy is connecting science with people, whether by working closely with teammates, mentoring students, or communicating science to the public.
